I am an associate professor of Behavioral Neuroscience /Biological Psychology in Department of Clinical Psychology & the Assistant Dean for Students Affairs for Health Sciences
CMHS. I received my BA in Psychology from UAEU
Faculty of Education in 1986; MA (1997)
and Ph.D. (1999) in Biological Psychology (Behavioral Neuroscience)
State University of N.Y at Binghamton
USA. Beside my teaching and research
I held different administrative positions
such as chair of the department & assistant dean for research and graduate studies in college of humanities & social sciences
UAEU. I am currently the coordinator of the MSC. in clinical psychology program and the Assistant Dean for Students Affairs (Health Sciences) in College of Medicine & Health Sciences
UAEU.

What type of talks have you presented in the past?
I have a good experience in in-vivo animal modeling and immunohistochemical techniques
designing in-vivo experimental paradigms that include behavioral testing
as well as standardizing and developing psychological assessment scales. Furthermore
I have a good experience in developing programs & curricula and was the scientific team leader for many projects for UAE government organizations. I am a licensed psychotherapist (CBT & mindfulness) and active in community service including conducting workshops and offering consultation to different government organization. Other social activities include psychoeducation & psychological support for PTSD victims. My research focuses on neuroprotective agents and neurodegenerative disorders.
